🎵Songs in Many Languages🎵

I’m very proud of the playlists in this collection of music, in spite of the fact that I have clearly never written a single song in my life (in English or any other language)! When I first began teaching, it felt nearly impossible to find children’s music in a range of languages, in midwestern America. On the exciting occasions when I was able to find songs in Spanish for my classrooms, that enthusiasm would wane as I skipped through track after track, hearing poor quality, poorly pronounced, poorly arranged music that was often inferior to even the worst of the music made for American, English speaking children! As much as it seemed an impossibility to find music in Spanish, for children, by native Spanish speakers, I didn't even bother to consider how much time would be lost looking for multilingual children’s music resources anywhere other than Mama Lisa’s website. All of the lists below are grouped only by language, and some of them include multiple languages under a broader geographic umbrella. The individual lists are also not as helpfully arranged, because my limited language proficiency, renders that simply outside of my capabilities! All of the playlists include not only songs in the target language or languages but also English language songs by someone who either speaks the language or is from a culture that speaks one of the languages as a first tongue.
